Terms of Service

Last updated: March 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PDF Toolkit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions in this agreement, please do not use our website.

2. Provided Services & Fair Use

PDF Toolkit provides a suite of local browser-based PDF manipulation tools. Our free tier is provided as-is. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes. You specifically agree NOT to:

  • Process illegal, abusive, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, hack, or disrupt the underlying WebAssembly modules or site architecture.
  • Utilize automated bots, scripts, or scrapers to abuse the free processing tier at scale.
  • Interfere with the display or execution of the advertisements that support our free tier.

3. User Content & Ownership

You retain full and complete ownership of any PDF documents you process utilizing our platform. Because the processing is done locally within your browser, we do not claim any rights over your private content. If you create an account and elect to save processed files, you grant us a limited, secure license strictly to store and serve the file back to you upon your request.

4. Monetization & Future Premium Services

Currently, our core tools are provided for free, supported by third-party advertising (e.g., Google AdSense). We reserve the right to introduce Premium subscription tiers in the future. These premium tiers will unlock advanced features, increased cloud storage limits, and an ad-free experience. The terms regarding payments, refunds, and renewals for Premium services will be outlined within this agreement upon their launch.

5. Intellectual Property

The PDF Toolkit name, logo, UI designs, and custom application code are the intellectual property of PDF Toolkit and its founders. You may not copy, reproduce, or unlawfully distribute our branding or functional code without express written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to ensure 100% processing accuracy, we make no warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, totally error-free, or meet your specific legal business requirements. In no event shall PDF Toolkit be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service (e.g., corrupted files). We highly recommend keeping backups of your original documents.
